Bah

It occurs to me that life is very much a matter of sitting around doing sod all while waiting for good things to happen.  I'd like to be able to say that the last two months have been spent doing super cool adventure stuff like learning how to levitate objects by the power of thought alone, but I've been more or less sitting around waiting for a couple of things.

First, I've been waiting for some feedback from the publisher about my anthology.  I'm not very good at patience, so it isn't pleasant.  Second, I've been waiting for a tax rebate.  Problem with this is that the government of my lovely country couldn't find its asshole with both hands.

Tax rebates are supposed to take around three weeks.  Mine has taken almost three months.  Bollocks.  Every two weeks I phone them up and get told to try again in two weeks.  Bah.  I got home this evening to a letter from Revenue and Customs to let me know that there's been another delay in my application, and it'll take a few weeks to sort out.

So how exactly do you make a bomb?
