Spring Forward, Fall... Er...

Hold on a minute.  Are we all allowed to do this?  Can I make it perpetually 7pm on a Friday evening? 

So Governors now have the God-given power to dispense extra daylight?  How long do you think it will be before another governor or maybe, say, a wealthy industrialist, will decide to take us in the other direction?
